Commercial Aviation Products
The PAPI system is the current standard Visual Glide Slope Indicator (VGSI) consisting of four light boxes arranged perpendicular to the edge of the runway. It projects a pattern of red and white lights that provide visual approach slope information.
The ALSF-2 is an approach lighting system (ALS), which provides the basic means to transition from instrument flight to visual flight for landing. Operational requirements dictate the sophistication and configuration of the approach light system for a particular runway.
The MALSR is a medium-intensity approach lighting system (ALS) installed in airport runway approach zones along the extended centerline of the runway. MALSRs provide pilot’s visual information on runway alignment, height perception, roll guidance, and horizontal references to support the visual portion of an instrument approach.
The Replacement Lamp Monitoring System (RLMS), (FAA Type FA-10724) is a unique system that will reliably monitor, under all operational conditions, the lights of a Dual Mode High Intensity Approach Lighting System (ALSF-2/SSALR).
The RRCS (Remote Radio Control System) is used by Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) and Pilots to operate an airport’s suitably equipped Visual Guidance Lighting Systems (VGLS) via radio controls.
ICMS, or Integrated Control and Monitoring System, automates the interface to navigation and lighting aids equipment in an airport facility. ICMS accomplishes this automation in a No-Single-Point-of-Failure architecture. This means that any component of ICMS can fail and ICMS will report the loss of that component and will continue to function.
